The innovative composite panel

The increasing requirements profile for technical products demands for new, performing materials. To meet the increasing requirements of high stability, high stiffness and low weight, the LaminaeX sandwich panel was created. A structural sandwich is a layered construction formed by bonding two thin facings (glasmat-reinforced plastic or aluminium) with a thick core. Whereas the facings show maximum tensile and compressive strength, the strong core provides sufficient shearing stiffness. This construction shows the functional features of synthetic material as well as the weight-bearing capacity of metallic structures.

The multiple advantages of the composite formwork panel

  • Contrary to plywood panels, the LaminaeX formwork panel shows no water absorption, therefore no soaking or contraction and constant load capacity. The plywood panel reaches its high modulus of bending only when it is new. After water absorption it can fall down to 50%.
  • Higher productivity at the construction site because of easier flushing, easier nailing without breaking out of craters and less separating agent usage.
  • Permanently better concrete surface and less after treatment expense.

The LaminaeX panel is produced with variable core thickness (according to panel thickness), in various lengths and forms, in a continuous manufacturing process. In this process multilayer constructions can be realized.
